TIC Summer Camp seeks to create an inclusive and encouraging environment that provides a healthy mind and body balance through collaboration, creativity, and growth.
Kids, ages 7 to 15, come to TIC to explore technology, but they also get personal attention, confidence building, and the opportunity to test the reaches of their creativity. Our unique model allows campers to exercise both their mind and body with equal half days of technology program and athletic activities! How we execute the combination of activities provides a balanced, powerful end product, that is not only about gaining knowledge, but the quality of the journey and the memories and skills created along the way. At TIC, kids learn by having fun!

We are looking for folks who are...
? Passionate about teaching the technology and/or athletic options that we offer. The magic of our camp can only
happen when there is a perfect cross section of camper’s interest and curiosities and counselor’s passion and
knowledge.
? Genuinely interested in working with children and adolescents - campers are super fun but exhausting, so you
gotta love them!
? Flexible, can adjust on the fly, and still keep your cool are essential skills for this position.
? Able to work cooperatively with others, learn on the job, come to work each day on time, and do whatever it
takes for the good of the campers.
? Role models and can become active members of the TIC community, including playing games and dressing up
for theme days- the unique combination of fun and silly.
Requirements:
? General skills in team and individual sports, with a specialty in one or more of the following areas: soccer,
basketball, ultimate frisbee, hockey, football, volleyball, tennis, drama, yoga, chess, creative arts, outdoor
learning, or dance.
? Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain.
Athletic Counselor Specific Job Duties:
? Implements the sports program, ensuring the TIC philosophy and spirit are maintained.
? Responsible for two groups of 5-8 campers each session of varying ages, acting as their coach, teacher,
friend, advocate; helping them to develop athletically and socially.
? Teaches athletic skills to junior (2nd-5th graders) and senior (6th-10th graders) campers in areas of
expertise and assists in other athletic activities.
Specials, all of the above as well as:
? Able to facilitate lessons to beginning or intermediate level campers for 2 hours daily. Must also serve as
athletic counselor for two thirds of each day and have the desire to participate in the athletics program
each day.
