Position Summary
The Commercial Sales Representative is primarily responsible for developing a consistent flow of new commercial business and nurturing and growing our existing customers. Executing sales and maintaining a high customer retention rate are critical to the success of this position as well as upholding our high standard of excellent customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales goals and sales activity metrics
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective new clients
- Complete consistently scheduled phone blocks and cold call prospecting activities to establish initial and follow-up appointments with decision-makers
- Complete required Master Service Agreements, CRM entries, reports and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy
- Provide forecasting and budgeting as required by management on an on-going basis
- Ensure you are on track to targeted revenues with regards to Branch goals and needs
- Proactively prospect for new business opportunities, up-sell to existing customers, and help sub-contractors sell our services
- Plan/conduct/support marketing activities to agreed budgets and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, product launches, promotions, advertising and tradeshows
- Increase market share in established markets and new markets
- Develop strong relationships with both customers, sub-contractors, and in house production teams
- Identifies and communicates with production any specific customer preferences or requests for service and immediately works to provide solutions to any customer complaints
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications / Attributes
- Self-disciplined with ability to work independently
- Strong closing techniques with customer-centered approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Plan effectively while being flexible to change
- 2+ years in customer service
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of lawn care industry
- Proficient with Microsoft office and Adobe
Education and Experience
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- Commitment to regular technical training and use of outside resources in computer/marketing/and customer service
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel regularly
