Coordinate with news directors, reporters, broadcast editors, digital editors and other members of the social media team to inform news consumers by promoting the biggest news stories of the day across WTOP's social platforms in a timely manner.

Write and copyedit news articles, write engaging headlines to accompany articles, create photo galleries Brainstorm and develop story ideas that impact and reflect the diverse region that WTOP covers.

- Coordinate and communicate effectively with anchors, writers, reporters, broadcast producers and the digital team to help deliver the news with a sense of urgency 24/7 - Ensure anchors have everything needed for a flawless broadcast.

Forecast, produce and present clear and concise weather casts which tell a story and connect with listeners. Schedule will require performance of duties to support a 24/7/365 newsroom.

• Create on-air packages, shoot and produce videos/photos for use on WTOP’s website and social platforms, write articles for web and post to social media about the top news of the day. 

Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets including spot, digital, and new direct business. Prospect new businesses on a weekly basis. Prepare and complete sales presentations with decision makers.
