Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Operating Officer leads the planning and development of all operational policies, objectives, and initiatives, and has direct oversight of the clinical executive director leadership team. Defines strategies for the growth and expansion of the academic medical practice, and oversees the execution of plans to attain short- and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals. Directs the development of the organization's functional capacity to produce sustainable growth and minimize risk.

Core Functions

  • Develop functional and business strategy in partnership with the CEO and physician leaders.
  • Provide direct leadership and oversight to the executive director team.
  • Execute high-impact initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
  • Define the vision, strategy, and focus for practice areas in support of the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Provide fiscal management to include analysis, forecasting, budgetary responsibilities, and negotiate contracts and vendor relationships.
  • Research clinical technology changes to lead expansion efforts, drive scalability, and implement technology-driven solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of training and experience

Experience

  • More than ten (10) years experience setting key metrics like KPIs or OKRs and shaping plans to meet objectives.
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership experience in senior management (director and above) roles.
  • Has expert-level knowledge of physician academic medical practice organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing long-term organizational business strategies.

Physical Requirements

  • Sit, stand, bend, reach, and walk for long periods of time in an office setting.
  • Requires manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, copier machine, and other equipment.

Compensation

Up to $350,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience
