Job Summary
The Communications/Marketing Analyst produces and disseminates marketing materials for the department of Dermatology using various platforms, including newsletters, booklets, prospectuses, press releases, social media posts, and more. This role works closely with the faculty and communications teams to brainstorm ideas, develop content strategies, and ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all channels.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Creates and disseminates department newsletters
- Creates booklets and prospectuses for department conferences
- Develops press releases for department activities
- Maintains and updates the organization's website with the latest news, events, and requested content changes.
- Collaborates with faculty members, communication teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Develops and manages engaging social media content, including posts, stories, and captions.
- Assists in developing and implementing content strategies that align with audience interests and organizational goals.
- Contributes to broader marketing and communication initiatives to enhance engagement and visibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Education in business, marketing, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
Licensure/Certification
None
Experience
2-4 years of experience in the field or a similar combination of education and experience in a related area
Skills/Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner
- Ability to follow and understand instructions and react favorably in all work situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people at various levels within and outside GWmedicine.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to travel to various GWmedicine office locations.
