Old Dominion Animal Health Center is a busy, 5-doctor small animal general practice in McLean, VA, and we are looking for veterinary nurses and assistants to join our team. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7 am to 7 pm and Saturdays 8 am to 4 pm. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Responsibilities include all aspects of patient care, including assisting with surgery prep and recovery, radiology, blood draws, cytology, administering medication and treatments as prescribed by the doctors, and client communication. The ideal candidate will:

Enjoy working with people and animals and be able to deal with animals even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.

Physical Effort: Work requires lifting and carrying animals up to 40 pounds (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs). Bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, walking/standing for extended periods of time; frequently works in a bent position.
