    Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for TWO Senior Network Engineers focusing on Routing and Switching to support an Intelligence Community Customer.

 The right candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.


  • Responsible for overseeing the configuring, managing, monitoring, and maintaining government Command and Control (C2) voice and video collaboration devices.
  • Subject matter expert for architecting, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting enterprise networks in support of common business applications and objectives.
  • Develops network architecture designs, studies and plans; supports design, test readiness, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Provides senior program managers with recommendations on network engineering approaches and strategies for new and continued business.
  • Develops, implements, and manages network engineering processes including configuration management and design standards to ensure compliance, relevancy, and sustainability.
  • Performs capacity planning of the network by monitoring and analyzing network, performance and availability.
  • Proactively researches and evaluates tools and technologies, as appropriate, to the network environment, while developing solutions to increase performance and lower the total cost of ownership.
  • Provides Tier III support by providing trouble resolution of the network infrastructure and perform on-call duties and off-hours support when needed.
  • Flexible with scheduled support of outages after hours and on weekends.


Clearance Required: TS/SCI

Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree with communications focus or equivalent plus 10 Years of Experience in networking, architecture/design, development, and implementation of large scale WAN architectures

Required Certifications: Cisco Certified Architect (CCAR), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), or Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) certification and IAT Level 3 Certification or IAM Level 3 compliant professional certification (i.e. CISSP, CISM, GSLC, GCIH, CISA, GCED, or SCNA)

Skill Requirements:

  • Must have proven ability to architect, implement and support network infrastructure solutions for routing and switching of diverse transport and data networks
  • In depth implementation and troubleshooting experience of networks using concepts/protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, MPLS VPNs and emerging concepts such as Software Defined Networking
  • Experience with LAN and datacenter technologies such as Ethernet, Spanning Tree Protocol, First Hop Redundancy protocols
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting WAN topologies using T-Carrier and Optical Carrier circuits.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • BSEE, BSCE or BSCS with networking focus, and a minimum of 12+ year’s relevant networking experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) total years of experience in the architecture/design, development, and implementation of large scale Wide Area Network (WAN) architecture
  • Exceptional verbal, written (including the development of procedural documentation), interpersonal, and presentation skills desired
  • Experience with network and performance management tools, security tools and appliances, layer two technologies, wireless communications, cloud computing and telecommunications services and technologies is preferred
  • Experience working in a telecommunications carrier environment performing large-scale mission critical network implementations is a plus
  • Self-driven and resourceful in achieving goals independently as well as in cooperation with others
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities
  • The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to move forward
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as network protocols and common services (e.g., DNS, FTP, SSH, SNMP)
  • Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer
  • Experience with application of DoD IAVAs, DISA STIGs, and NIST security controls
