Information Processing Technician

Wage/Hr: $10.30 Hours/Week: 40 Minimum Age: 55

Qualifications:

AA Degree in records management, library science, information management, information technology (IT) or data management OR Minimum of 2 year(s) of experience in in an office environment working with information management and/or technology.

  • Good communication skills and very good computer skills
  • Experience required with MS Word, Excel, Fax, Copying Machine, Scanner
  • Manual Pin Punch machine

Duties:

Administratively review and process incoming applications (primarily electronic but some paper) for amendments, new registrations, experimental use permits, tolerance petitions, supplemental distributor forms and other actions as needed

  • In-process new pesticide applications, amendments, notifications, experimental use permits, tolerance petitions, supplemental distributor forms and other submission items. These submissions are primarily electronic but may include some paper submissions. 85%
  • Assist with general incoming document processing applications, document filings and jacket preparation 10%
  • Provide general customer service activities for the document processing team and the jacket file room team. These duties may involve lifting packages that are large (less than 20 pounds). Assistance with heavier packages will be given by EPA staff. 5%
