Description

Enlist as a soldier into the United States Army and become a Bridge Crewmember. They provide conventional and powered bridge and rafting support for wet and dry gap crossing operations. This is not a civilian contractor position.  No experience necessary.  Position is entry level.

JOB DUTIES

  • Construct bridges and rafts to help Soldiers cross rough terrain, bodies of water, and barriers they might encounter in the field.
  • You will help create floating bridges and rafts from a boat as well as help combat engineers create safe crossings on land by building structures or demolishing obstacles.

PAID TRAINING

  • 10 weeks of Basic Training
  • 4 weeks of Technical School with on-the-job instructions.

ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Between 17-34 years old.
  • No felonies. (Defer Adjudication included).
  • Current High School Senior, High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Permanent resident or US citizen.
  • Meet physical standards based on gender and age.
  • Pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test
