U.S. Army Diver

Enlist as a soldier into the United States Army and become a diver who supervises or performs underwater reconnaissance, demolition, repair, and salvage. They provide conventional and powered bridge and rafting support for wet and dry gap crossing operations. This is not a civilian contractor position.  No experience necessary.  Position is entry level.

JOB DUTIES

• Conduct reconnaissance, demolition, and salvage underwater.
• Assist with underwater construction and specialize in either scuba diving or deep-sea diving.
• Support special warfare and explosive ordnance disposal troops while using diving gear.

PAID TRAINING

• 10 weeks of Basic Training
• 29 weeks of Technical School with on-the-job instructions.

ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Between 17-34 years old.
• No felonies. (Defer Adjudication included).
• Current High School Senior, High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Permanent resident or US citizen.
• Meet physical standards based on gender and age.
• Pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test
